In the Netherlands, joinery company Helwig has created an aquarium using Accoya® Wood both for the surround and for the central feature - a window frame. Happy, healthy fish demonstrate that Accoya® Wood is non-toxic and may been partially immersed in water for prolonged periods without the wood swelling or degrading. The window continues to open and close as smoothly as ever - provided that the goldfish keep their distance!
