Over the past several years, there has been a growing public awareness on the threats of global warming. However, there has been less understanding about the new green business and investment opportunities created from these consequences. Green Buildings in particular, present important opportunities for organizations involved in a large diversity of business sectors.
Inherently, constructing a resource efficient and environmentally sensitive building requires a complete reassessment to every piece of the building construction and maintenance supply line. The resulting value premium and cost savings can offer business opportunities to many different players including architects, entrepreneurs and investors, real estate developers, building material suppliers, governments and major corporations.
Recognizing these opportunities, China Cleantech Focus hosted “Green Buildings: Innovative Growth and Impacting Conservation,” which took place on September 10th from 6-10pm at the Kerry Centre Hotel in Beijing. Panelists were leaders from a variety of backgrounds providing attendees insights into how businesses of all sizes can get involved in an important and opportune space. More than 150 members of the business community attended representing private equity, architectural design, building developers and construction contractors.
The result from the seminar was an increased awareness in the opportunities green building presents as well as practical solutions in terms of green building materials that are available today, and very cost effective.
