POSITION: Construction Manager
REPORT TO: PROJECT MANAGER

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Construction Manager will report to Project Manager of NJ Plant. Main responsibilities are as follows.
1.Lead the overall construction effort for Capitol Projects.
Set clear expectations for the EPCM construction Management
Provide and manage Owner Expertise Resources( Safety, QA and S.M.Es) if needed.
Create and maintain clear communications plans between all parties.
Administrate EPCM contract
2.Review and Approval EPCM’S construction management plans, such as the Constructability Plan, Construction Management Plan, the Construction Safety & Environmental Management Plan,
the Construction’s Material Management Plan,the Project Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan,etc.
3.Responsible for construction safety. Set & Maintain clear safety expectations for the Contractor’s; Front line Owner Construction Management representative for construction related safety & environmental issues; Close involvement and communications with the Contractors safety management personal and activities. 
4.Responsible for Quality Assurance of whole construction process. Auditing and involvement with the EPCM Contractors Quality Management personal and this projects Quality Assurance process; Review, acceptance and sign off of installed applications from the EPCM’S Quality process for Owner’s Construction Management.
5.Construction Cost Management. Will function as the primary communications channel, to the EPCM Contractor, for all changes regarding the planned scope of work or the approved scheduling of the work; Identifying and recommending, to the DWN Project Manager, any additions or changes or the deleting of work activities which would be a change in the original scope of work of a Contractor; Instigate the actual approval, to the Contractor, of any change by documenting and utilizing the approved Field Change Order process.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work experience –The candidate will be a Senior level Construction Manager with a demonstrated track record for Projects of 500 million RMB or larger. Chemical / Wood Processing Plant operations / maintenance / engineering experience is a plus.

Education –The candidate should have earned a Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree from a recognized Chinese or International university.
