applications
Accoya® can be used in virtually any application because of its outstanding technical characteristics. From large scale structural and cladding jobs to smaller scale domestic projects, Accoya® has been used successfully.
Accoya® wood is the material of choice for window frames. Not only does it have extremely low thermal conductivity but it is more durable and dimensionally stable than the best tropical hardwoods. It can be opaque coated or, for those wishing to enjoy the natural look of wood, transparent coated. Accoya®’s low maintenance requirements add to its cost effectiveness and environmental credentials.

Accoya® is a great choice
Accoya® is a great choice for internal and particularly exterior doors. Its outstanding durability means it will last and the surface of Accoya® makes it easier to sand and paint.
Accoya® high performance wood is suitable for wooden cladding, siding and façades where aesthetics, less frequent maintenance, dimensional stability, durability and insulation value are key factors. Accoya’s® versatility makes it ideal for use in residential, commercial and industrial structures. Wherever wood cladding is needed, Accoya® wood is the right for your application.

choosing a material
When choosing a material to create a wood deck; beauty, strength and all-weather performance are important. A high performance wood for decking will stay flat and not warp, split, swell or be affected by fungi, water uptake or rot. It is also crucial that the wood is non-toxic and therefore totally safe for people and pets. Accoya’s® long life wood for decking meets every one of these exacting requirements.
Using wood in damp external conditions for structural applications has been a real challenge, chiefly because of the risk of fungal attack. The most effective preservatives are by definition toxic and so have environmental issues both in use and disposal. While there are a few species of wood with good natural resistance to fungal attack, they are often difficult to glue and only have a comparatively limited life. Additionally, such species are often of tropical origin and sustainably sourced supplies are becoming increasingly limited. As a result, other materials will often be used instead. With Accoya®, all that can now change.
