Basematters are a design company who provide an opportunity for young and undiscovered talented people. Specialising in products that upgrade your interior and exterior, they are passionate about working with designers to help them transform their concepts into commercial productions, enabling them to be given the best start.
In collaboration with a mixture of young designers, Basematters developed the ‘Good Friday’ Accoya bench to sit outside a popular coffee shop in Utrecht. Accoya wood was chosen for the bench as it is maintenance friendly and dimensionally stable. Plus, Accoya’s sustainability messages are a perfect fit with the Basematters ethos of limiting production to prevent unnecessary wastage.
